Who Are We?
Crave 21 (501c3 nonprofit) is a challenge where students and community members give up their BIGGEST craving for 21 days (e.g. Facebook, t.v., candy, soda, etc.). The purpose is to raise awareness for Addiction, learn how it works, and teach ways we can prevent it. This program empowers students with the knowledge to make healthier choices, including waiting until legal drinking age and never experimenting with illicit drugs. According to studies by CASA Columbia, we can save 1 life from addiction out of every 4 who choose to wait until legal drinking age, and abstain from illicit drugs.
How Does it Work?
Students can register free online at crave21.org. Students begin the challenge together and track their progress on our iPhone/Android app, which helps us track participation and provide support. Each day a student checks-in, we provide them tips and learning objectives centered around cravings, addictions, and how to build healthy habits.
Why we need YOU
We are asking sponsors to make a financial pledge in support of Addiction Awareness and Education for students and communities who can achieve recruitment and participation goals. Example; you could pledge $250 if your local High School or community group can recruit 250 people to join the Crave 21 Challenge. In support of your pledge, you will receive brand exposure directly through the Crave 21 website, social media pages, and the Crave 21 app. This also provides great local media exposure via paper, radio, or t.v.
In 2014, we had over 800 participants at 10 schools across West Michigan participate in the Crave 21 Challenge, with 96% reporting a positive experience and willingness to participate again next year.
